Become an instructor

Interested in teaching others what you know?

We are constantly looking for people with the skills and passion to instruct our weekly classes! The main physical criteria for an instructor is that they should be able to do everything with ease in the class they teach, know how to break down the techniques used in them and demonstrate them in a more controlled way than is required just to perform the movement. As a rule of thumb, it would be good to be training in a level or two above the class you are teaching. In addition, we highly value our instructors being people who can implement our values (pursue safety; be compassionate; enjoy learning; embrace individuality; inspire and be inspired) in their work. In practice that means being nice, compassionate and responsible human beings our board and students can trust.

In addition to weekly classes, we need instructors for different kinds of workshops. Therefore you can become an instructor even if you’re new to pole dance. You’ll just need some other skills in dancing, acrobatics, yoga, contortion or something alike that you can share with our members in a class or workshop off the pole.

If you’re interested, please be in touch with Cleopatra or any of our instructors/board members. We will figure out together what kind of classes you could teach and make sure you have sufficient training. Our current policy includes reading some of our instructor training materials, and shadowing a veteran instructor for your first few teaching sessions.
